Why is My DJI App Not Working?

If your DJI app isn’t functioning, it could be because the server is down. In that instance, try back after some time has passed to see if that helps.

Another potential reason for the DJI app not functioning correctly could be cellular data issues; if this is the case for you, try clearing the cache and data.

1. Check the compatibility of your device

If you’re experiencing issues with your DJI app, there are a few ways you can try to fix it. First, ensure your device is compatible with it by consulting the compatibility list on their official website; otherwise, you may need to wait until a version tailored specifically for it becomes available.

If your DJI app still doesn’t load properly, try clearing its cache and data. This should restore its functionality; to do this, open the Settings app on your device, scroll to Apps, select DJI, and click “Clear Cache Data.” Additionally, try restarting your phone to see if that solves it.

One issue that can prevent the DJI app from functioning correctly on mobile devices is the lack of available space caused by old apps, music files, and other files you no longer require. To remedy this, try clearing some space by deleting apps you no longer use, such as music and files that take up unnecessary storage space on your device.

Finally, updating the software on your device to fix the DJI app may also help resolve its problems. Doing this will ensure your device is compatible with the most up-to-date version of it; if this update proves challenging to install or you experience issues installing it yourself, try reinstalling from either Google Play or Apple App Store and try again.

DJI App Not Opening – S21 Ultra with plenty of space & RAM; when I access any part of the DJI app, it either crashes immediately or goes black before returning to the main screen – This has happened several times now and is incredibly frustrating.

DJI has been unable to update its apps for new devices, such as the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and S22 Ultra, leading many customers to use third-party drone apps instead of DJI’s. DJI is working on rectifying this problem; for further questions or assistance, don’t hesitate to contact their customer support team directly.

2. Clear the cache and data

If your DJI app keeps closing or crashing, it may be due to cache files. Cache files store temporary information that the app uses to speed up loading and operation but may sometimes cause issues. Clearing these cache files can quickly resolve this problem – make sure that any issues with the cache are dealt with by clearing cache files out!

Start by making sure that your phone is updated. This is particularly crucial if using Android OS, as older versions may not correctly support DJI apps. If the latest version of an app doesn’t already exist, try downloading it from the DJI Download Center or reboot your phone to clear its cache of DJI app data.

DJI app crashes are often due to insufficient resources on the device, whether that be from full phone memory, virus infection, or firewall restriction that prevents access. To resolve this, close all other programs and background tasks on your phone to allow more resources for DJI app use.

Clearing the cache from time to time on your device can also help avoid accumulating data that could cause errors. To do this, open your ‘Settings menu on your device and choose ‘Storage’; you can clear individual app caches if applicable. This step is especially beneficial on devices with limited storage capacities.

If all other approaches fail and your DJI app still won’t function, contact DJI customer support to see if they can assist. They may provide a more in-depth explanation of the issue and suggestions to resolve it or even an old version compatible with your device. Finally, rebooting and reinstalling might help. Otherwise, it could be hardware-related; should that happen, you must contact its manufacturer for support.

3. Restart your device

There may be various reasons why your DJI app might not function as it should, but there are ways to address these issues. First, ensure the firmware on both your drone and remote controller is up-to-date; additionally, try clearing out its cache (on Android) or reinstalling the application. If this still does not help resolve the problem, contact DJI customer support for assistance.

DJI apps rely on internet access and depend on DJI servers to function correctly. Sometimes, these servers might go down for maintenance or another reason, and in such instances, the DJI app won’t load or open properly – if this occurs to you, it may take some time until the problem has been addressed and resolved.

Your operating system might also be outdated, creating additional issues on your device. Regular updates to ensure it keeps functioning optimally are advised as this helps address bugs and glitches that arise on it.

Check for updates by visiting your settings menu and selecting “About.” If any updates are available, install them immediately, restart your device, and launch the DJI App afterward.

If all other steps have failed and you cannot open an app, deleting and reinstalling may help clear any cache or data-causing issues. Restarting may also help if that fails, as it will address any potential performance issues.

Last, try switching devices when accessing the DJI app. Some users have reported better results using devices such as LG V20, OPPO R11, or Google Pixel; if this still does not help, then it could be related to software issues, which would require further assistance from DJI’s customer service.

4. Reinstall the app

DJI app is invaluable, but sometimes it stops working due to issues. These issues could stem from poor internet connections, insufficient phone storage space, or cache issues, including problems with your operating system or hardware. When this occurs, reinstalling can often help. To reinstall, open the App Store or Play Store on your mobile device and search for the DJI App. Once found, click Install, then follow any prompts or instructions given during the reinstallation process to complete the reinstallation process.

If your smartphone has plenty of free storage, but an app still isn’t working as expected, there could be an issue with its hardware. One way to test this theory would be by downloading and trying it on another device; if none of them work as well as yours, chances are high there’s something amiss with yours.

Your DJI app may malfunction because its cache and data have not been cleared regularly, leading to slower performance or crashes. To remove them, go into your mobile device settings, tap “Apps,” select the DJI app in question, and turn off its Reset Cache Content slider.

Your DJI app might be misbehaving due to device compatibility issues. For it to run smoothly, the DJI app requires high-spec mobile devices – otherwise, an error message will pop up upon opening it, and try upgrading to solve the issue.

DJI is an internet-based application that relies on your cellular network for internet connectivity. However, weak connections could result in it crashing or freezing; in such an instance, try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data connections until the issue has been addressed if necessary. Otherwise, get in touch with your service provider immediately.
